Message from the President

Since its establishment in 1971, Microtechno has been providing high-precision processing technologiesto the world at large through the production of automotive parts.

Amidst remarkable changes in the times, we have been engaged in daily technological developmentand improvement activities so that we can provide products with stable qualityand at optimal costs as quickly as possible to meet customer needs.

Initially, we were involved in cutting,heat treatment, and grinding for steel, but from the time that automakers focused on fuel efficiency,we began working on cutting, surface treatment, and grinding for aluminum, which is lighter than steel.

By creating unique processing lines, we are able to deliver products that are cheaper,faster, and of stable quality to customers. We have now established the technical capabilityto cut stainless steel materials in response to customer requests. We are also workingto develop new processing technologies on a daily basis.

Additionally, we believe that we cannot continue as a corporation unless we are a companythat instills cheerful pride in not only our customers but also our employees,and based on that belief, our entire company is engaged in various measures to create a comfortablework environment for our employees and improve the level of satisfaction in our work environment.

June

Takaya Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established as a specialized factory for apex seals used in rotary engines.

1981

December

Started production of valve sleeves for hydraulic control in automatic transmissions.

1984

August

Company name changed from Takaya Manufacturing Co., Ltd. to Mazda Micron Co., Ltd.

1994

April

Following a merger with Mazda Precision Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of engine pistons, the company name was changed to Microtechno Co., Ltd.

September

Acquired NEWQIG certification from Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (Car Air Conditioner Division).

1996

June

Obtained ISO 9002 certification (JQA).

1997

January

Acquired NEWQIG certification from Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (Compressor Division).

2000

December

Obtained ISO 9001 and QS 9000 certifications (JQA).

2001

October

Obtained ISO 14001 certification (JARI-RB).

2002

November

Received TPM Excellence Award, Category 1.

February
